Deferred helps you see unmade decisions clearly. No reminders. No nudges. No advice.

Keep track of the decisions you’re avoiding, over time.

Some decisions stay unresolved longer than we admit. They do not disappear. They quietly add mental load.

Deferred helps you see those decisions clearly.

Available for iPhone. Works offline.

Unmade decisions carry a cost
When a decision is left open, it keeps returning in the background. You think about it while doing other things. You revisit it without resolving it. Over time, this becomes mental load.Deferred does not help you decide. It shows you what you are choosing to live with.
Only real decisions

Deferred is not a task manager. It is for decisions that require a yes or no.

Examples: Stay or leave, Buy or don't buy, Reach out or move on.

No tasks. No plans. No reminders.

How Deferred works

Add a decision you have not made yet.

Time passes. The app tracks how long the decision remains open.

You can add notes as things change. These notes form a timeline.

When you finally decide, you mark it as decided. The time and notes stay.

No notifications. No nudges. No advice.
What Deferred does not do

It does not remind you

It does not tell you what to do

It does not suggest next steps

It does not frame decisions as tasks

It does not reward completion

Deferred exists to make avoidance visible, not comfortable.
Inside the app

What you are avoiding: A simple list of decisions you have not made yet. Sorted by how long they have been avoided.

Decision details: See how many days the decision has stayed open. Add notes over time. View everything as a timeline.

What you lived with: Decisions you have already made. The record remains.

Private by design
Everything stays on your device. No accounts. Optional iCloud sync for Pro users. No data collection. Deferred is simple on purpose.

Creating impactful Product and Brand Experiences | Mastering the nuances of Design Systems

In the dynamic landscape of the restaurant industry, the efficiency of operations and the quality of customer experiences are paramount. Recognizing this, we embarked on a comprehensive UI/UX redesign of Summer (formerly ToastApp), a leading provider of Point-of-Sale (POS) solutions tailored for restaurants, bars, cafes, and similar establishments. Our objective was to transform Summer into a seamless, user-centric platform that caters to both business operators and their patrons.Identifying the ChallengesBefore the redesign, Summer faced several critical challenges:

Complex User Interface: The existing UI was cluttered and outdated, lacking clear spacing and hierarchy. This complexity hindered user efficiency, especially for occasional users who struggled to navigate the system.

Suboptimal User Experience: Users encountered navigation difficulties and convoluted workflows, leading to frustration and decreased productivity. These issues were partly due to the design shortcomings of the platform.

Brand Inconsistency: With the rebranding from ToastApp to Summer, there was a pressing need to align the product's design with the refreshed brand identity, ensuring consistency and coherence across all touchpoints.

Strategic Approach to RedesignTo address these challenges, our design process encompassed several strategic steps:

Competitor Analysis: We conducted an in-depth analysis of key competitors, including POSist, PetPooja, Tally, and LimeTray. This examination provided valuable insights into market trends, strengths, and weaknesses, informing our design decisions and positioning Summer to effectively meet the evolving needs of our target market.

SWOT Analysis: A thorough SWOT analysis was performed to identify Summer's internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats. This analysis guided our strategy to leverage strengths, address weaknesses, capitalize on opportunities, and mitigate potential threats.

User-Centric Design: We prioritized the needs and preferences of both business operators and customers. For operators, we streamlined workflows and simplified navigation to enhance efficiency. For customers, we introduced a seamless digital platform accessible via QR codes, enabling effortless menu browsing, ordering, and payments.

Visual Refresh: Aligning with the new brand identity, we updated the visual elements of the platform, incorporating modern aesthetics, intuitive icons, and a cohesive color scheme to enhance visual appeal and usability.

Key Features of the Redesigned Summer PlatformThe redesigned Summer platform boasts several key features aimed at enhancing the user experience:

Intuitive Navigation: A simplified menu structure and clear hierarchy enable users to access desired functions with minimal effort.

Streamlined Workflows: Optimized processes reduce the number of steps required to complete tasks, improving operational efficiency.

Responsive Design: The platform is designed to be responsive across various devices, ensuring a consistent experience for users on desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

Customizable Interface: Users have the flexibility to personalize their dashboards and interfaces, tailoring the platform to their specific needs and preferences.

Impact and ResultsThe redesign of Summer has yielded significant positive outcomes:

Enhanced User Satisfaction: Users have reported a more enjoyable and efficient experience, leading to increased satisfaction and loyalty.

Improved Operational Efficiency: Businesses utilizing Summer have experienced smoother operations, with reduced errors and faster transaction times.

Brand Consistency: The updated design aligns with Summer's refreshed brand identity, reinforcing brand recognition and trust among users.

ConclusionThe UI/UX redesign of Summer exemplifies our commitment to creating user-centric solutions that address real-world challenges in the restaurant industry. By focusing on intuitive design, streamlined workflows, and brand consistency, we have transformed Summer into a platform that not only meets the needs of modern businesses but also enhances the dining experience for customers.Explore the redesigned Summer platform and discover how it can revolutionize your restaurant business.
